Title IV-E Prevention Services Supplemental Training Awards
-
The Center for Evidence-based Partnerships in Virginia (CEP-Va) partners with the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) to accept requests from mental and behavioral health service providers interested in expanding existing evidence-based programs (EBPs) for children and families across Virginia. Service expansion will be funded through Title IV-E via the Family First Prevention Services Act and managed by CEP-Va.
Supplemental awards refer to smaller awards to cover costs associated with maintaining or growing an existing EBP. Providers interested in full site training (initiating a Family First EBP for the first time), must use the "Full Site" RFA portal here.
VDSS is willing to fund supplemental awards for the following categories:EBP Personnel
Replacement training for new staff EBP practioners and/or supervisors
Additional consultation for current practitioners and/or supervisors
Additional training to promote a practtioner to a site supervisor
Additional required costs associated with training (e.g., employee travel, if a virtual/on-site training event isn't possible)
EBP Equipment (e.g., bug-in-the-ear bluetooth technology, video cameras or tablets for training and fidelity monitoring, manuals, protocols, toys)
Please contact CEP-Va (ebplab@vcu.edu) for questions regarding eligibility for supplemental funding
Any award resulting from this RFA will be paid directly to EBP model purveyors, who will provide the training (i.e., workshop, consultation, or both) to the awarded provider. Any awards designated for funding equipment will be paid directly to vendors. -
